Economy Class Carry On Bag Weight Allowance
LOT Polish Airlines offers 3 types of fares within Economy Class:
- Economy Saver
- Economy Standard
- Economy Flex
All Economy Class fares are entitled to 1 carry-on bag weighing up to 17.6 pounds (8 kilograms).
Premium Economy Class Carry On Bag Weight Allowance
Premium Economy Class isn’t available in all regions. Specifically, it’s not available in the following routes:
- Domestic (Poland)
- Europe
- Middle East
For travel to/from the US, your carry-on bag can weigh up to 22 pounds (10 kilograms).
For all other itineraries, you are entitled to bring up to 2 carry-on bags weighing up to 26.5 pounds (12 kilograms) in total. However, no single carry-on bag can weigh more than 17.6 pounds (8 kilograms).
For example, you could travel with 2 carry-on bags, with one weighing 17.6 pounds (8 kilograms) and the other weighing 8.8 pounds (4 kilograms). The total weight of these 2 carry-on bags is 26.4 pounds (12 kilograms).
Remember that all your carry-on bags still need to be within 21.7 x 15.8 x 9.1 inches in size.
Business Class Carry On Bag Weight Allowance
Business Class isn’t available for domestic travel within Poland.
For travel to/from the US, you’re entitled to 1 carry-on bag weighing up to 26.5 pounds (12 kilograms).
For all other itineraries, you’re entitled to 2 carry-on bags. Each bag can weigh up to 19.9 pounds (9 kilograms).
Standard Checked Bags
Standard Checked Bag Size Limit
Your standard checked bag can be up to 62 linear inches (158 centimeters) in size. This is calculated by measuring your bag’s outside length, width, and height, then adding these measurements together. Be sure to include any protruding wheels, handles, or straps in your measurements.
If your checked bag is larger than 62 linear inches, LOT will consider it oversized. The bag will be subject to an oversized bag fee.
LOT Polish won’t accept checked bags larger than 80 linear inches (203 centimeters).
Standard Checked Bag Weight Allowance
Your standard checked bag can weigh up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms).
If your checked bag is heavier than 50 pounds, LOT will consider it overweight. The bag will be subject to an overweight bag fee.
Checked Baggage Allowance
The number of checked bags included with your ticket depends on which fare you buy and your itinerary.
LOT Polish Airlines has the following fares available:

Economy Saver Class
Economy Saver is, as you would suspect, LOT Polish Airlines’ Basic Economy cabin class. So, it’s no surprise that it doesn’t include any checked bags. This applies to all itineraries.
Economy Standard Class
Economy Standard includes at least 1 standard checked bag for most itineraries. For a select few routes, you are entitled to 2 checked bags.
Economy Flex Class
Economy Flex includes between 1 and 2 standard checked bags, depending on the flight route.
Premium Economy Class
Premium Economy includes 2 standard checked bags on itineraries where this cabin class is available.
Business Class
Business includes 3 checked bags across all itineraries except for international Europe and Middle East flights, where only 2 checked bags are included.
Also, the weight of each checked bag has been increased to 70 pounds (32 kilograms). However, if you buy extra bags, they will have a 50 pound weight limit.
Business is not available on domestic flights within Poland.

If your checked bags are either oversized or overweight, or you wish to buy extra bags beyond your allowance, you can save up to 20% on the associated fee if it’s prepaid.
